Kim leads the company and oversees all captive functions and operations. She is a former risk manager for a Fortune 50 company, responsible for the placement of billions of dollars of insurance coverage, management of its captives and hundreds of millions of dollars of claims, and resolution of coverage disputes involving complex coverage matters. Kim has consulted for a number of large publicly traded and privately-owned businesses in optimizing their risk management programs and establishing captive insurance programs, large and small.
She is a licensed attorney and has written and spoken on insurance topics including “Running into Trouble,” Captive Insurance Times, May 2017; and “Captive Insurance for the Middle Market,” Journal of Accountancy, November 2016.
Kim holds MBA and J.D. degrees from Emory University and is a graduate of Oglethorpe University. She is a member of the ABA Captive Insurance Committee and board member of the Georgia Captive Insurance Association.

Ryan Bowden oversees the day-to-day River Oak managed captives, with specific expertise in applications, underwriting, policy administration, and regulatory compliance. With over a decade of industry experience, including managing operations for more than 80 captive insurance companies across multiple domiciles, he is a graduate of Clemson University and holds a J.D. from Regent University School of Law.
Brad Case leads growth strategy and distribution partnerships for River Oak Risk. He brings over 20 years of experience in commercial insurance brokerage and alternative risk, having held key roles at Marsh, Gallagher, and Artex. Brad specializes in developing innovative risk solutions and building strategic relationships that drive business expansion. He holds a BA in Finance from Michigan State University.

Chris Ridge

Chris has 25 years of experience in the design, formation, and ongoing operations of captives spanning a wide range of industries, coverage lines and captive domiciles. He has headed captive management and consulting operations for insurers, insurance vendors and in-house corporate programs. Chris holds a J.D. degree from Loyola University, MS degree in Risk Management from Florida State University and BS degree in Business from the University of South Carolina.
